The SONDAR GROUP was started in 1998 with the creation of the Sondar laboratory – Amostragens e Tecnologias do Ar, Lda.
SONDAR.i was the first private laboratory to provide gas emissions monitoring services in Portugal.
As SONDAR.i's reputation and portfolio grew, it was possible to invest and grow in a sustained manner, in order to fully satisfy the requirements of customers and the services provided.
In 2001, SondarLab – Air Quality Laboratory, Lda. was created, thus beginning the expansion of a group that today has 6 (six) companies. Sondarlab came to offer complementary services to SONDAR.i, focusing mainly on ambient air quality and indoor air quality, more specifically on worker exposure within the scope of Hygiene and Safety at Work.
In 2014, ISQ acquired 50% of the SONDAR group, making SONDAR, currently called SONDAR.i, and SONDARLAB subsidiaries of ISQ.
SONDAR.i is currently a leader in the field of gaseous emissions.
Em 2000 a SONDAR.i tornou-se o primeiro laboratório privado Português a ser acreditado pelo referencial NP EN ISO/IEC 17025: – Requisitos gerais de competências para laboratórios de ensaio e calibração.
SONDAR.i is currently a member of the technical working group CT-71 – Technical Committee for Standardization – Air Quality, SC1 – Stationary Sources. This committee is integrated into the European Committee for Standardization (CEN).
The company is also a member of the technical committee of RELACRE CTR01 – Quality Assurance in Laboratories.
The measurement methodologies used by SONDAR.i have been refined over the years based on field experience and continuous research, in order to optimize laboratory performance.
The constant analysis and re-evaluation of procedures, from a Continuous Improvement perspective, allows SONDAR.i to achieve accurate and representative results in an effective and economically viable manner.
The company's technical staff mostly have higher qualifications, having received specialized training when joining the laboratory.
Training combined with state-of-the-art equipment, duly validated and calibrated, ensure that the quality of results and SONDAR.i's testing procedures are of a high standard.
